Support our teachers in the classroom and help our children learn the Qur'an — a rewarding way to give your time fī sabīlillāh.
About the role
As a Classroom Assistant you'll support the teacher during lessons — helping children stay focused, listening to recitation, and making sure every child feels looked after.
What you'll do
- Support the teacher during Qur'an and Islamic studies lessons
- Listen to and encourage children's recitation
- Help with classroom setup and keeping a calm, positive environment
Who we're looking for
- Patience and warmth with children
- Reliability for your committed sessions
- A good standard of Qur'an recitation is helpful but not essential
Commitment & safeguarding
Flexible around your availability — even one session a week makes a difference. All volunteers working with children are subject to our safeguarding checks (including a DBS check) before starting.
