Contract: Part-time (Term Time Only)
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
Hours: 5:15pm – 7:00pm
Remuneration: Based on experience, qualifications and responsibilities.

About the Role

Garden of Knowledge is looking for enthusiastic, caring and knowledgeable teachers to inspire young Muslims through high-quality Islamic education.

Our curriculum focuses on three core areas:

• Qur'an (Qa'idah & Tajweed)
• Daily Duas
• Islamic Studies

Teachers play an important role in nurturing students academically, spiritually and morally within a caring Islamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and structured lessons.
• Teach Qa'idah, Qur'an reading and Tajweed.
• Teach Duas with understanding and application.
• Deliver age-appropriate Islamic Studies lessons.
• Assess student progress and maintain records.
• Prepare lesson plans and classroom resources.
• Encourage excellent behaviour through Islamic manners.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
• Support school events and assessments.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers.
• Promote a safe, positive and nurturing classroom environment.

Essential Requirements

• Strong Qur'an recitation with correct Tajweed.
• Good knowledge of Islamic Studies.
• Ability to teach children aged 5–13.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Patient, caring and approachable.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Commitment to Islamic values and professionalism.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Alim/Alimah qualification or equivalent Islamic studies qualification.
• Previous teaching experience in a madrasah or school.
• Teaching qualification.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• First Aid qualification.
